Transient Limiter for Protecting Spectrum Analyzer Com-Power LIT-930A
I Introducing Com-Power LIT-930A:
Transient limiter Limits the input voltage when conducting EMI emissions measurements using a Line Impedance Stabilization Network (LISN). The EMC receiver input is connected to the product’s live and neutral lines via LISN. LISN blocks the supply voltage from the LISN RF port but allows the RF signal to pass without much attenuation, so it can be measured with an EMC receiver. Since the RF signal must be transmitted, any short transients (a few microseconds or less) on the power supply line will also be transmitted. The LIT-930A transient limiter protects the EMI receiver input from these short transients. A transition of sufficiently high energy will damage the unprotected receiver input.
II Com-Power LIT-930A technical specifications:
Frequency range: 9 kHz – 30 MHz
Insertion loss: 10 dB +1.5 / -0.5 dB*
Max. input level: 4 Watts CW (+36 dBm)
