Com-Power LISN LI-4100 100 A For MIL-STD 461
I Introducing Com-Power LISN-41000:
The LI-4100 line impedance stabilization network can handle currents up to 100 Amps AC (70Amps DC) and provides the measurement platform needed to perform emissions compliance testing performed on power lines as required by MIL-STD 461F.
The concept and advantages of LISN are:
a) connect in series and apply a specified impedance to the lines under test; thus providing a distinct advantage over current or voltage probe measurements, where line impedance is largely uncontrolled;
b) provide a coaxial RF measurement port for connection to measuring equipment into which the disturbance voltages present at the EUT port are coupled for measurement; And,
c) isolate the AE port (auxiliary equipment) from the EUT and RF ports, where:
1) minimize the influence of the AE connected device/cable on the impedance (and voltage division coefficient) of the network; And,
2) reduce the amplitude of any ambient signals as well as spurious noise voltages generated by the AE connection device, thereby minimizing their potential impact on the measurement results.
Two pairs of LI-4100s can be used to supply a 3-phase power system (Wye or Delta configuration).
